In order to raise awareness of the work it is doing, the Lancashire Society will be promoting a number of events. The Fylde Dialect day, held on the 6th September 2009 was the first of these and has been followed by two others which in their own way are set to raise the profile of what the Society is about. After the Dialect day a section of the members went to Stalybridge Heritage fair and then on the 23rd October the 'Taste of Lancashire' evening was held in Preston. Read about these events below. |
